Setting the Map, Points of Interest and Performance Areas in the Festyvent Builder

Setting the event area on the map

  1. Login to the Festyvent Builder.
  2. Scroll down to the map or press the “Map Maker” menu item.
  3. The map will centre on the location it identifies from the Location, Postal code and Country specified in the “Starting Info” section.
  4. Expand the map to locate the area where the event is taking place.
  5. Select the shape drawing tool. map shape icon 2
  6. Use the mouse to draw the perimeter of the event area by clicking the mouse at a starting point and then clicking at each perimeter turning point. Finish by joining the last perimeter point to the starting point; the map area will turn yellow.
  7. Press the stop drawing button. stop map edit
  8. Press “Publish” at the top of the page to push the changes to the app.

 

Setting Points of Interest

  1. Select a “point-of-interest” map icon from the scrollable list in the right hand map pane.
  2. Drag the map icon to the desired location on the map.
  3. Press on the map icon and change the name as required and press OK.
  4. Press “Remove Marker” to delete the icon.
  5. Press “Publish” at the top of the page to push the changes to the app.

 

Defining a performance area

  1. Press create new performance area in the right hand map pane.
  2. Set the name of the performance area, the colour and list position it it should have in the line-up screen.
  3. Set any sponsors that may be associated with the performance area and press “Create new”
  4. The newly created area will now appear as an icon under performance areas.
  5. Press “Publish” at the top of the page to push the changes to the app.

 

Positioning the performance area on the map

  1. Drag the performance area icon from the left hand pane onto the map.
  2. Drag the points of the performance area to the desired location and to the desired shape.
  3. To remove the performance area click within the performance area and the press remove area.
  4. Press “Publish” at the top of the page to push the changes to the app.
